had also considered, I try to do with scent, so to bind books that smell a bit. Searching the Internet for ways to get paper to fragrance without having to dye it with tea must, I came across this guide . It's totally easy and you end not only good-smelling paper, but also unique colored paper. My results you can see here.
Furthermore I had the idea to make some sort of scenting books. Looking for tutorials on the internet to make scented paper without staining it in tea I have found this tutorial (in German). It's really easy and in the end you don't just have scented paper but it's also individually structured. Have a look at my results.

For this one I used lavender-scented oil.
Hierfür habe ich Limetten-Öl verwendet.
